| Batesburg-Leesville Primary and the B-L and Twin City Rotary Clubs will present "Got Book?" on Tuesday, January 31 at 6 p.m. in the BLPS cafeteria. An art show will also be held from 5-7 p.m. and a spaghetti supper sponsored by the school's PTO will be held in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30 p.m. |
| Common Planning/Early Release Day will be held on Wednesday, February 1. There will be no Afterschool Program at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School on this date. Dismissal times for all schools are as follows: B-L Primary, 12:45 p.m.; B-L Elementary, 1:00 p.m.; B-L Middle, 1:36 p.m; and B-L High, 1:50 p.m. |

Welcome to 3rd grade!
My name is Valerie Rowe, and I am excited to be your child's learning companion this year. I have been a teacher for the past 15 years, having also taught Kindergarten, 4th grade, and 2nd grade at BLPS. This will be my third year here at BLES, and I am thrilled to teach your child all subjects; including Language Arts, Math, Science, Health, and South Carolina History. We will integrate reading and writing into all subjects as we are introduced to and master the South Carolina Curriculum Standards. A little about me personally: I live in Leesville at Lake Murray with my husband and daughter. My daughter is in the 6th grade at BLMS. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and outdoor activities; including being on the water, camping, fishing, and hunting. Yes, I am an avid deer hunter, thanks to my husband.
Feel free to visit us or volunteer to assist with special projects and other activities throughout the year. I look forward to a fun year filled with learning.
